week in Aruba

We recently spent a week in Aruba at a house with a pool. Of course, I planned for many swims, with the proper release, of course.
The day we arrived, I ended up in the pool in my light blue Lucky jeans, brown socks, and gray tee. It was just a start, those jeans would stay soaked almost every day.
My favorite part of the trip was the late nights at Palm Beach. I would take a late walk along the quiet beachfront.
Most nights I was wearing my older black New Balance shoes, which would easily dry the next day. Brown or blue NB socks, which are super soft. My light blue Lucky jeans that I had worn on the plane or my dark blue Levis, holiday boxer briefs and a blue or green polo shirt.
Palm Beach is relatively calm, being on the leeward side of the island.
There was rarely anyone around, unlike St Pete from last summer. I would slowly let the waves break over my shoes. The air and the water were mild, and I easily allowed myself to soak my shoes, socks and jeans to my knees. Eventually, I was up to my waist and my jeans were soaked, my underwear, and most of my shirt. I was fun just to feel the waves flow through my clothes.
I found a wooden pier that went out about 20 feet or so. The water was just over my head. So one night, instead of wading out into the ocean, I sat, fully clothed, at the end, dangling my shoes, socks and jeans over the water, still fully dry.
Then, well all of you knew this would happen, I leaned a bit too far, and well, into the ocean I went, fully clothed. I was wonderful.
After enjoying the ocean, I would find a shower and clean off the best I could, throw some towels on my car seat, and drive the 15 minutes back to the house.
Now, the second part of my swim arrived. We had a small pool, and I wouldn't even go into the house, I would just slowly dunk myself, re-soaking everything.
Once in the warm pool, well, now things got a bit hard. Whether I had on those super soft Lucky jeans or my favorite Levis jeans, trust assured, there was a creaming session! While we were there, it was a full moon, so the light was really bright too and my shirt and jeans shined when I got out of the pool.
During the days we spent at Eagle Beach, I swam in a long-sleeve gray t-shirt and my blue trackies. Too bad, I didn't see much else in the way of enjoyable swimwear.
So, we had a fun time in Aruba, great for individual clothing swim, not so great for encountering others.
