Health Benefits of Masturbation

Masturbation has been found to have several health benefits that extend beyond the realm of sexual pleasure when practiced regularly.

Masturbation, long considered a taboo topic in many societies or an individual pleasure activity, has been gaining attention in recent years for its potential health benefits when practiced responsibly. As research continues to uncover new aspects of this practice, it is becoming increasingly clear that masturbation can be more than just a personal indulgence; it can also serve as a practice with numerous advantages for both physical and mental well-being.

Regular masturbation is known to help reduce stress, improve sleep quality, and boost overall mood due to the release of endorphins during orgasm. Additionally, it can contribute to a stronger immune system by increasing the production of antibodies in response to elevated levels of cortisol (a stress hormone).

Burn More Calories

One surprising benefit of masturbation is its potential for calorie burning. Studies have shown that male masturbation can burn up to 500 kilocalories per half hour, making it an effective calorie-burning activity (Kaplan et al., 2013).

While it might not be as intense as other forms of exercise, masturbation does require energy and effort. A study conducted by researchers at the Kinsey Institute found that males who masturbated for 30 minutes burned an average of 500 kilocalories. This level of energy expenditure is comparable to moderate-intensity exercises such as cycling, swimming, or running on a treadmill for approximately 30 minutes at a moderate pace.

Improve Circulation

Engaging in masturbation can help pump blood throughout the body, thereby enhancing overall circulation and promoting cardiovascular health (Basson et al., 1998). This increased blood flow and heart rate helps to deliver essential nutrients and oxygen to various organs and tissues, increases detoxification, and reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases.

The increased circulation helps maintain healthy skin, muscles, and organs (Porst, 2014). Additionally, some studies suggest that regular masturbation may lower the risk of developing prostate cancer in men (Wu et al., 2016).

Boost Immunity

Research has suggested that regular masturbation may help strengthen the immune system by increasing levels of immunoglobulin A (IgA), a key antibody responsible for fighting infections and illnesses (Meston & Frohlich, 2015). Furthermore, masturbation has been found to help boost the immune system by increasing antibody production in response to elevated cortisol levels (Kirkpatrick et al., 2015), and it can also contribute to improved cardiovascular health through increased blood flow and heart rate during arousal and orgasm (Morin & Lemieux, 2016).

Reduce Stress

Masturbation has been linked to several physical and mental health benefits. It has been found to release endorphins which are natural painkillers and mood-boosters that can help reduce stress levels and promote relaxation (Hazan & Shaver, 1987). By engaging in this activity regularly, individuals may experience improved mental wellbeing, reduced anxiety, and enhanced mood due to the release of endorphins during orgasm (Park & Lee, 2018).

Enhance Sleep Quality

The relaxation achieved through masturbation can contribute to better sleep quality by reducing the time it takes to fall asleep and improving overall sleep duration (Basson et al., 1998). This is particularly beneficial for individuals who struggle with insomnia or other sleep disorders. It also promotes the release of oxytocin, a hormone associated with feelings of calm and well-being (Bernstein et al., 2013).

Orgasms with a partner were associated with the perception of favorable sleep outcomes, however, orgasms achieved through masturbation (self-stimulation) were associated with the perception of better sleep quality and latency. Promoting safe sexual activity before bed may offer a novel behavioral strategy for promoting sleep.

Masturbation and Prostate Health

Your prostate is a gland about the size of a walnut that sits around the urethra (the tube that passes urine and semen out of the body). The prostate gland is part of the male reproductive system, and it produces a fluid which makes up semen.

There is plenty of evidence to suggest that masturbation might be good for your prostate. In general, it seems that the more often you ejaculate, the lower your risk of prostate cancer. But the more sexual partners you have, the higher your risk of prostate cancer (probably because of sexually transmitted infections).

More frequent ejaculation in the absence of risky sexual behaviors could represent an important means of reducing prostate problems, and the physical and psychological side effects. Masturbation can help you to pull this off.

Hormones

Masturbation stimulates the release of a number of similar neurotransmitters, including endorphins, that leave you feeling happy and sensitive to touch. The result is a feeling of euphoria, optimism and self-satisfaction. These pleasure hormones make you feel contented and even euphoric.

There’s quite a bit of research investigating the value of physical activity for treating depression, due to these neurotransmitters. Masturbation also helps to reduce levels of the hormone cortisol in your body, a chemical associated with stress that also builds fat in the abdominal region.

Sweat and Calories

Does masturbation cause you to sweat? You better believe it. Does this mean you are burning calories? Absolutely. Only once the body warms and begins to produce sweat during exercise is it able to reach the energy level that allows for fat burning.

One of the major benefits of physical activity is working up a sweat. This natural process and subconscious method of bodily temperature regulation helps to rid your body of toxins, cleanses your skin and inspires you to hydrate. Sweating is one of the quickest ways to shed extra pounds, in moderation. Drinking water will expedite the process of clearing out your system which keeps your body working efficiently.

Learn to Masturbate for Optimal Health

Most men don't know how to masturbate for maximum pleasure. They just rub frantically to a get a quick and hurried release, to "get off". This is not what we advise. Quick ejaculation is not the main goal.

Learn to touch and feel your whole body and have multiple full body orgasms. Only in the end allow for a massive ejaculation of all the build up juice. It is a very pleasurable path that prepares you for playing with friends and lovers.

During the session, pay attention to the flow of your excitement. Make adjustments to develop the skill of reaching orgasm but stepping back moments before the point of no return, in time before you cum. Do this six times. Only on the seventh time let the ejaculation flow and deeply relax. Later in our Seven Peaks Meditation we'll show you how.

The nearby lake is my favourite place for swimming and masturbating. My loose fitting clothes feel very sensual and arouse me quickly. They float around my hard penis, touching it all the time. It feels like a wonderful hand job as I swim along. At the end of each swimming session I cum to avoid the Blue Balls feeling. I just rub it a bit and whoosh, the white stuff fills my pants.
